নারীদের জন্য মেহেদী ব্যবহার
নারীদের জন্য মেহেদী ব্যবহার করা মুস্তাহাব (নেকির কাজ)। সুতরাং, এক্ষেত্রে অবহেলা বা অলসতা না করাই ভালো। এমনকি হাদিসের ভাষ্য থেকে বোঝা যায়, মেহেদী না দেওয়া মাকরুহ, যেমনটি অনেক আলিম বলেছেন।

আয়িশা (রা.) হতে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, একদিন এক নারী পর্দার আড়াল থেকে হাত বের করে রাসুলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লামের দিকে একটি চিঠি ইশারা করলেন। নবি সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম নিজের হাতটি গুটিয়ে নিয়ে বললেন, ‘‘আমি বুঝতে পারছি না, এটি কোনো পুরুষের হাত নাকি কোনো নারীর হাত?’’ তখন সেই নারী বললেন, ‘‘বরং, এটা একজন নারীর হাত।’’ তখন রাসুল সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন, ‘‘যদি তুমি নারী হতে, তাহলে অবশ্যই মেহেদী দ্বারা তোমার হাতের নখগুলো বদলে দিতে।’’ [আবু দাউদ, আস-সুনান: ৪১৬৬; নাসায়ি, আস-সুনান: ৫০৮৯; হাদিসটি সহিহ]

❖ গোল্ড বা টিউব মেহেদী দেওয়ার বিধান:
.
গোল্ড মেহেদী বা টিউব মেহেদী ব্যবহার করা জায়েয। এবং এগুলো ব্যবহার করে প্রলেপ উঠিয়ে ফেলার পর অজু-গোসল সবই সহিহ হবে। কেননা এ মেহেদী লাগানোর পর শরীরে যে রঙ অবশিষ্ট থাকে—যার কোনো কোনোটিতে পরবর্তীতে আবরণের মতো উঠে—তা আমাদের জানামতে চামড়ায় পানি পৌঁছার ক্ষেত্রে প্রতিবন্ধক নয়। তাই এগুলো ব্যবহার করতে সমস্যা নেই। [শারহুল মুনয়া: ৪৮; রাদ্দুল মুহতার: ১/১৫৪; মাসিক আলকাউসার, এপ্রিল ২০১৬ সংখ্যা]

➤ তবে, বাজারের অনেক মেহেদীতে ক্ষতিকর কেমিকেল থাকে। তাই, বুঝে-শুনে সতর্কতার সাথে ব্যবহার করাই ভালো।

❖ নবিজির মেহেদী ব্যবহার:
.
আবু রিমসা (রা.) থেকে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, আমি এবং আমার পিতা রাসুল সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লামের নিকট এমন সময় আসলাম, যখন তিনি তাঁর দাড়িতে মেহেদী লাগিয়েছেন। [নাসায়ি, আস-সুনান: ৫০৮২; হাদিসটি সহিহ]

❖ নারীদের পায়ে মেহেদী ব্যবহারের বিধান:
.
অনেকে বলেন, যেহেতু নবিজি তাঁর দাড়িতে মেহেদী দিতেন, সেহেতু নারীদের জন্য পায়ে মেহেদী দেওয়া উচিত নয়। এই ধারণাটি সম্পূর্ণ ভুল। নবিজি তো মাথায় তেলও ব্যবহার করতেন। অথচ আমরা অনেকে তো পায়ে তেল ব্যবহার করি। এগুলো আবেগী কথা-বার্তা। বরং, নারীরা পায়ে মেহেদী দিতে পারবে। এ ব্যাপারে আলিমগণ একমত। [ইবনু হাজার, ফাতহুল বারি: ১০/৩৬৭; শামি, রাদ্দুল মুহতার: ৬/৪২২]

❖ পুরুষদের মেহেদী ব্যবহার:
.
পুরুষের জন্য সাধারণভাবে মেহেদী ব্যবহার করা জায়েয নেই। এটাই বিশুদ্ধ কথা।

আবু হুরাইরা (রা.) হতে বর্ণিত; তিনি বলেন, রাসুলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, ‘‘পুরুষের সুগন্ধি এমন হবে, যার সুগন্ধ প্রকাশ পায় কিন্তু রঙ গোপন থাকে আর নারীর সুগন্ধি এমন হবে, যার রঙ প্রকাশ পায় কিন্তু সুগন্ধ গোপন থাকে।’’ [তিরমিযি, আস-সুনান: ২৭৮৭; হাদিসটি সহিহ]

➤ তবে, চিকিৎসার প্রয়োজনে পুরুষরা মেহেদী ব্যবহার করতে পারবে।

সালমা উম্মু রাফি’ (রা.) থেকে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, নবি সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম কখনো আঘাত পেলে বা কাঁটা বিদ্ধ হলে তিনি আহত স্থানে মেহেদী লাগাতেন। [ইবনু মাজাহ, আস-সুনান: ৩৫০২; হাদিসটি হাসান]

➤ পুরুষরা দাড়িতে মেহেদী লাগাতে পারবে।

আবু যার (রাহ.) থেকে বর্ণিত। নবি সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম বলেছেন, ‘‘তোমরা যে সকল বস্তু দ্বারা বার্ধক্যজনিত শুভ্রতাকে পরিবর্তন করে থাক, সেগুলোর মধ্যে উত্তম হলো: মেহেদী এবং কাতাম।’’ [নাসায়ি, আস-সুনান: ৫০৭৭; হাদিসটি সহিহ]
(It is mustahab to use henna for women. So, it is better not to be negligent or lazy in this case. Even from the commentary of the hadith, it is understood that it is makrooh not to give mehdi, as many scholars have said.

Narrated from Aisha (ra). He said that one day a woman took out her hand from behind the curtain and pointed to a letter to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) rolled up his hand and said, “I do not know whether it is the hand of a man or the hand of a woman.” Then the woman said, “Rather, it is the hand of a woman.” , “If you are a woman, then you must change the nails of your hand by Mehdi.” [Abu Dawood, As-Sunan: 417; Nasai, As-Sunan: 5069; The hadith is saheeh]

বি Provision of Gold or Tube Mehedi:

It is permissible to use Gold Mehedi or Tube Mehedi. And after removing the coating using these, the aju-bath will all be valid. Because the color that remains on the body after applying this henna – some of which later become like a covering – is not an obstacle in the way of water reaching the skin as far as we know. ➤ However, many henna on the market contain harmful chemicals. Therefore, it is better to use it with caution.

ব্যবহার Use of henna by Nabiji:

Narrated from Abu Rimsa. He said, “I and my father came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) at a time when he was applying henna to his beard.” [Nasai, As-Sunan: 5062; The hadith is saheeh]

ধান Provisions for using henna on women’s feet:
.
Many say that since Nabiji used to give henna on his beard, henna should not be given on the feet for women. This idea is completely wrong. Nabiji also used to use oil on his head. But many of us use foot oil. These are emotional messages. Rather, women will be able to give henna on their feet. The scholars agree on this point. Men use henna:

It is not permissible for men to use henna in general. That is pure.

Narrated from Abu Hurairah (ra); He said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “The fragrance of a man will be one whose fragrance is revealed but the color is hidden, and a woman’s fragrance will be one whose color is revealed but the fragrance is hidden.” The hadith is saheeh]

➤ However, men can use henna for medical needs.

Narrated from Salma Umm Rafi ‘(ra). He said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to apply henna on the injured area whenever he was injured or stung. [Ibn Majah, As-Sunan: 3502; Hasan the hadith]

➤ Men can apply henna on their beards.
